About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong Excel skills including mastery of advanced formulas, lookup and reference functions (such as VLOOKUP, SUMIF) and pivot tables.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Influential, collaborative, professional demeanor.
  • Effective oral and written communications.
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed during peak periods including month end, year end, seasonal peaks, and the audit period.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensures accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
  • Reviews and approves monthly, quarterly, and annual transactions, reconciliations, and reports prepared by general ledger accountants.
  • Oversees accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
  • Ensures adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements, assisting with external audits.
  • Identifies and recommends improvements to accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provides guidance and support to accounting staff, assisting in training and development as needed.
  • Maintains accurate, compliant, and organized paper and electronic business records.
