Assistant Controller

Springbrook Software is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our global finance and accounting team. This position is crucial in supporting the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting, and assisting in the development of internal controls. The Assistant Controller will report directly to the Controller and will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are essential to the financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), and SaaS business models. This role requires a proactive approach to managing the revenue team and ensuring compliance with ASC 606. The Assistant Controller will also assist with weekly cash reporting and other key performance indicator (KPI) reporting as requested. This position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for flexibility to work from home while also requiring occasional reporting to the corporate office in American Fork, UT. In addition to financial reporting, the Assistant Controller will oversee revenue-related monthly and quarterly close processes, assist with the preparation of lender reporting, and help maintain and improve financial systems and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy. The role also involves providing support for special projects, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and financial analysis as needed. The Assistant Controller will play a key role in mentoring and developing a growing accounting staff, ensuring that the team adheres to Springbrook's policies and procedures, including security and confidentiality policies.
