  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and analyses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure the timely and accurate completion of financial reporting requirements, including regulatory filings and audits.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement, and provide recommendations to management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and accuracy of financial records.
  • Participate in the budgeting and forecasting processes, working with department heads to develop and analyze financial plans and projections.
  • Support the management of cash flow, including monitoring bank accounts, cash disbursements, and cash receipts.
  • Assist in managing relationships with external auditors, regulatory agencies, and financial institutions.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices, ensuring compliance and recommending necessary adjustments to financial processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as operations and IT, to streamline financial processes, improve efficiency, and ensure data integrity.
  • Assist in the evaluation and implementation of financial software systems and tools to support financial operations and reporting.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits, including preparing requested documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to finance team members, promoting professional development and a culture of continuous learning.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and projects as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, with a strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
  • Solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and familiarity with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in financial reporting, including the preparation and analysis of financial statements.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, such as ERP systems and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
