  • Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, capital account statements, partner allocations, and performance reports. Ensure accuracy and alignment with fund agreements and GAAP standards
  • Serve as a ‘first line of defense’ for investor requests, with the ability to leverage internal teams to gather information and prepare responses in a professional manner
  • Collaborate with internal teams and third-party administrators to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Support fund management and cash management, assess liquidity and workiwith portfolio management group, fund manager and treasury teams on capital calls,distributions, credit facility draws/paydowns.
  • Coordinate audit and tax firms, focusing on deadlines and sequencing of deliverables
  • Assist various internal groups with the preparation and review of quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports and marketing materials
  • Ensure management fees are paid or accrued quarterly
  • Provide accurate, timely and professional service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to use Yardi Investment Accounting and Investment Manager
  • Assist in creating and maintaining standard operating procedures and process workflows for the team
  • Special projects as needed
  • Experience with partnership accounting and partnership agreements as well as waterfall calculations required
  • Professional individual with ability to perform independently as well as part of a team
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational skills are imperative to success in this role
  • Willingness to be hands on as needed
  • A persistent and positive-minded work ethic
  • Ability to streamline processes and implement change
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • CPA designation is preferred
  • Public accounting and real estate fund experience is strongly preferred
