We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Controller to join our growing New York Team in Queens, NY. Position Purpose: Responsible for summarizing and aggregating commercial and financial data, preparing financial forecasts and reports and protecting the company's assets by ensuring internal control mechanisms are effective, and by detecting and preventing fraud and malfeasance. Liaises with internal capital markets specialists and external securities lawyers to manage financial disclosures required by the securities laws. Ensure that the business is effective and efficient. Work directly with the management team to run the business and ensure its profitability while maintaining proper internal control.

  • Identify trends, variances, and performance drivers.
  • Support management with data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards.
  • Partner with departments to improve financial performance.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance in financial reporting.
  • Assist with monthly close, audits, and process improvements.
  • Assist in preparation of financial reports and budgets throughout the year. Advise management of any major variances and their impact on operation and results.
  • Identify accounting and financial issues and suggest timely solutions.
  • Assist in analyzing cost categories, identify inefficiencies, and lead improvement projects. Continuously monitor and manage the performance of departments to support and achieve planned efficiencies and profitability.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in/with a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA a plus)
  • 5+ years of financial analysis or FP&A experience
  • Strong Excel and Financial modeling skills
  • Proficiency with ERP and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Power BI)
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
