The Assistant Controller at CureMD Healthcare is a vital role responsible for supporting the Senior Director of Finance in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP regulations, and maintaining accurate financial reporting. This position requires a detail-oriented accountant with experience in corporate financial accounting, particularly in SaaS environments, to assist in various accounting functions while minimizing disruption to daily operations.

  • Assists with monthly/quarterly/annual closings of financial statements in accordance with GAAP regulations ensuring an accurate and timely close.
  • Processes assigned groups of accounts payables for approval, vendor invoice set up and payment utilizing both QuickBooks and NetSuite as needed.
  • Prepares monthly expense accruals and account reconciliations in coordination with Staff Accountant.
  • Handles internal auditing/approval/processing workflow for vendor expense accounts and reporting of variances versus budget and prior year.
  • Performs P&L comparisons and explanations of variances and trends.
  • Processes bi-weekly payroll reporting from our PEO, Insperity, to the general ledger.
  • Spearheads governmental affairs reporting related to business registrations, annual reports, Secretary of State compliance, NEXUS and Sales Tax compliance.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Prior experience using NetSuite and Chase.com banking platform is a plus.
  • Experience working with trial balance reports and other information for tax return preparations (1120's, 1099's etc.).
  • Knowledge of profit-sharing models and Employee Stock Ownership plans.
  • Knowledge of capital financing and investor relations.
  • Experience working with international vendors, including currency exchange calculations, conversions and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across departments and with senior leadership.
  • Experience in a corporate accounting team or consulting firm with SaaS clients.
  • Familiarity with governmental affairs reporting and compliance.
