About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Construction accounting experience preferred.
  • Computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) and other applicable software programs.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to change.
  • General knowledge of office protocol, routines, and procedures.
  • Ability to proof-read documents and accurately prepare various reports.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Understands and respects the unique nature, culture, and work needs of the individual profit centers.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees month end financial close process including WIP reviews.
  • Manages accounting team leaders and supervisors.
  • Assists with budgeting and forecasting for construction projects.
  • Creates union and salary labor rate buildups.
  • Oversee and prepare workpapers for job audits and financial audits.
  • Finds ways to streamline workflows and improve processes.
  • Assists with monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate filings, deadlines, and audits.
  • Create and distribute financial reports.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls and policies.
  • Manage and maintain general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Supports accounting and operations senior leadership with ad hoc projects.
  • Promotes a positive, collaborative, team-oriented environment providing cross-training, coverage, and growth opportunities for the team.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
