About The Position

An LA entertainment company is looking for an Assistant Controller to join their team. In this Assistant Controller role, the candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, overseeing AP and AR, compliance, managing the accounting department, and month-end close. To be successful in this role, the Assistant Controller will need to demonstrate flexibility, be detailed-oriented, and have great organizational skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• 10+ years of accounting experience
• Must have entertainment experience
• CPA ideal
• Must have royalty accounting experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee the accounting department, and manage AP and AR
• Own financial reporting
• Assist with cash flow reporting and management
• Create and put into place policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Oversee month-end close and lead the yearly financial statement audit
• Assist with revenue recognition
• Analyze and prepare financial statements
• Support process improvement initiatives
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and flux analysis
