About The Position

AECOM Hunt has an exciting opportunity for a talented Assistant Construction Project Manager for our large, state-of-the-art construction project in Chicago, IL. Assists the Project Management team with management administration on a small to moderate size and scope project, or a portion of a larger, more complex project, following set guidelines for tasks. Employee receives clear and specific instructions and/or follows standardized instructions or procedures without ongoing supervision. Employee consults with supervisor on matters not covered in the original instructions. May interface with design team. Works closely with construction project teams. Assists with and monitors change orders. Reviews project costs and scheduling to ensure completion of project within budget and in conformance with contract. Works with document control systems, project management systems and other software or databases to keep information flow up-to-date and accurate. Attends meetings and report on project tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • BS Engineering, Architecture or relevant curriculum or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Nice To Haves

  • BS Civil, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management.
  • Experience from a large general contractor as an Engineer, Assistant Superintendent or Assistant Project Manager.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings/renderings.
  • Experience with construction documentation such as change orders, RFI, RFP, etc.
  • Experience with construction software such as Procore, E-Builder, CMiC, etc.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
