About The Position

The Assistant Construction Manager will complete Division and/or Construction Manager orientation, onboarding, and training programs, which include Pulte Construction Standards, scheduling, job site rules, safety, warranty, and the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan. The role involves developing literacy in building codes, construction and technical language, plan reading, construction materials, construction schedules, and construction methodologies and standards. The Assistant Construction Manager will assist other Construction Managers and/or direct supervisors in performing their duties and responsibilities, including monitoring job sites, validating schedule progression, coordinating on-site inspections, and reviewing the Customer Care service process. The position requires validating work to meet quality standards and expectations, coordinating the completion of work as directed by the manager, and gaining knowledge in the utilization of Pulte systems and processes. Additionally, the Assistant Construction Manager will assist in scheduling and supervising daily trade partner activities, monitor subdivision cleanliness, and gain an understanding of the Scope of Work for all trade partners.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Some construction experience or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid driver's license as driving is an essential function of this position.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • General knowledge of municipal permitting, regulations and building codes preferred.
  • Basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

  • Complete Division and/or Construction Manager orientation, onboarding, and training programs.

  • Coordinate on-site inspections.
  • Review and understand the Customer Care service process.
  • Validate work is complete to quality standards and expectations.
  • Coordinate the completion of work as directed by the manager.
  • Gain knowledge and expertise in the utilization of Pulte systems and processes.
  • Learn the steps and build proficiency in the Build Quality Experience and Customer Quality Experience.
  • Assist in scheduling and supervision of daily trade partner activities.
  • Monitor subdivision cleanliness and hold trade partners responsible for daily clean-up.
  • Gain understanding of the Scope of Work for all trade partners.
  • Other duties as assigned.
