About The Position
As an Assistant Construction Manager at PulteGroup, you will play a crucial role in the construction of new homes, contributing to the realization of the American Dream of homeownership for families. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to develop their technical expertise in new home construction and establish a solid foundation in the basic aspects of construction. You will assist more senior Field Managers and your direct supervisor in various duties and responsibilities, ensuring that the construction process runs smoothly and efficiently. Your journey will begin with completing the Division and/or Field Manager orientation, onboarding, and training programs. These programs will cover essential topics such as construction scheduling, job site rules, safety protocols, warranty processes, and the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). You will develop literacy in building codes, construction methodologies, and technical language, which are vital for effective communication and execution of construction tasks. In your role, you will monitor job sites, validate schedule progression, coordinate on-site inspections, and ensure the quality of work through validating first pass yield and coordinating punch outs. This position requires a commitment to customer satisfaction and a proactive approach to problem-solving, as you will be working closely with various stakeholders to ensure that projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
