About The Position
The Assistant Community Manager plays a key role in supporting daily property operations while helping ensure compliance with affordable housing programs and fostering a positive living environment for residents. This position requires strong organizational skills, financial awareness, and a passion for resident engagement. Working closely with the Community Manager, you will assist in maintaining operational excellence, supporting team development, and upholding LSA's mission and values.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in multifamily housing
- At least 1 year of experience working with LIHTC or affordable housing programs
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an Assistant Community Manager or related role
- Strong organizational, financial, and operational skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities
- Self‑motivated, dependable, and results‑driven
Nice To Haves
- Experience with RealPage property management software preferred
Responsibilities
- Support day‑to‑day operations of the property with a strong focus on resident satisfaction
- Assist with compliance related to LIHTC and tax credit programs
- Help monitor financial performance, including occupancy, rent collection, and adherence to budgets
- Support supervision, coaching, and development of on‑site team members
- Coordinate with maintenance staff and vendors to ensure timely resolution of work orders
- Assist with community engagement initiatives and maintain positive resident relationships
- Represent and uphold LSA's mission, values, and standards in all interactions
