The Assistant Community Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Community Manager in the effective management of the property. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving skills. The Assistant Community Manager will take on the responsibilities of the Community Manager in their absence and assist in various operational tasks to ensure the smooth running of the community.

  • Collect required new lease paperwork, fees, and deposits.
  • Maintain a professional and friendly office atmosphere.
  • Conduct daily inspections of models, vacants, and office appearance.
  • Update Market Survey weekly and review Apartment IQ for accuracy.
  • Complete monthly marketing audits and accept service requests.
  • Inspect property and report service needs to the manager or maintenance.
  • Conduct pre-move out inspections and complete monthly resident newsletters.
  • Plan and oversee resident events and create promotional materials.
  • Collect, track, and distribute packages for residents.
  • Assist in ensuring residents follow community policies.
  • Propose and implement new services to enhance residents' living experience.
  • Develop a list of available community resources for residents.
  • Work collaboratively with the site team to meet property needs.
  • Adhere to local/state laws and company policies.
  • Assist other employees in apartment management functions.
  • Wear required career apparel and understand the budget.
  • Perform accounting month-end procedures and audit reports.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year of experience in property leasing or management.
  • 2 years of leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and budgeting.
  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with property management software.
  • Familiarity with local market trends and conditions.
