About The Position

The Assistant Community Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of a residential community. This position involves managing accounting tasks, processing payments, and ensuring the community meets its revenue and occupancy goals through effective leasing and marketing efforts. The Assistant Community Manager also promotes resident satisfaction and maintains the property's appearance and safety.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Preferred experience in Property Management, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and delivery skills.
  • Proficiency in internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management programs.
  • Strong proficiency in property management software (preferably Entrata, Yardi, and/or One Site).
  • Current Valid Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a similar role within the multi-family real estate sector.
  • Knowledge of local market conditions and competitor analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Support and assist the Community Manager in managing the financial and operational facets of the community.
  • Complete accounting and reporting tasks, including preparing monthly close-out and financial reports.
  • Process invoices for payment and collect rent, fees, and other payments.
  • Complete bank deposits, dispositions, and account reconciliations.
  • Support leasing and marketing efforts to achieve revenue and occupancy goals.
  • Review and submit invoices from vendors and contractors for payment.
  • Analyze market and economic trends to recommend improvements for the property.
  • Conduct property tours and provide updates on property performance to clients.
  • Promote resident satisfaction by maintaining relationships with residents and co-workers.
  • Ensure property maintenance team complies with company standards regarding service requests.
  • Act as the on-site supervisor in the absence of the Community Manager.
