About The Position

The New Brunswick Middle School is seeking Assistant Coaches for various sports for the 2025-2026 school year. The positions are contingent upon the reactivation of live sports programs. The available sports include Football, Cheerleading (Fall and Winter), Boys and Girls Soccer, Cross Country, Boys and Girls Basketball, Boys and Girls Volleyball, Boys and Girls Spring Track, Baseball, Softball, Tennis, and Wrestling. Candidates must hold a NJ Department of Education Teacher Certification or Substitute Certification.

Requirements

• NJ Department of Education Teacher Certification or Substitute Certification required.
• Experience in coaching or playing the respective sport is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Previous coaching experience at the middle school level.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coaching assigned sports teams.
• Support the head coach in planning and executing practices.
• Help in the development of student-athletes' skills.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes during practices and competitions.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration.
