Assistant Coach Women’s Basketball The Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach supports the Head Coach in all aspects of the women’s basketball program. Responsibilities include assisting with technical and tactical instruction, planning practice sessions, conducting player development, scouting opponents, and managing recruiting operations to ensure student-athlete success.
Requirements
- Previous playing or coaching experience at the collegiate level.
- Strong knowledge of basketball strategy, skill development, and modern training methods.
- Proficiency in recruiting software and digital communication tools.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel for competitions and recruiting.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Employees must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license in order to travel to and from practices and home competitions
Nice To Haves
- Experience with video analysis software (e.g., Synergy, Hudl).
- Established recruiting networks in the relevant region.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead individual and group skill-instruction sessions.
- Assist the Head Coach in designing and implementing practice plans.
- Conduct detailed film breakdown and scouting reports on upcoming opponents.
- Actively recruit high-level student-athletes, including identifying talent and managing communication.
- Support student-athlete academic progress and maintain program standards.
- Assist with team travel logistics, equipment management, and program operations.
- Handle other projects and tasks as needed
