About The Position

Nevada Athletics is recruiting for an Assistant Coach, Volleyball. The Assistant Coach is primarily responsible for teaching and training technical information related to the performance of the sport, instruction related to technique of the sport, student-athlete conditioning, tutoring regarding practice methods and imparting strategies for competing. The position assists the Head Coach with recruitment and retention of student-athletes, game preparation, program administration, film analysis and recruiting metrics, budgeting, and logistical coordination. Higher-level assistant coaches may advise student-athletes regarding athletic, academic and social issues. May assist in management duties such as directing the day-to-day activities of graduate assistants, student managers, student workers and volunteers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and two years of related work experience; OR a Master’s Degree and one year of related work experience.
  • Related Experience: team coaching experience (note: some positions may require team coaching experience at an NCAA I, II, III, NAIA, Junior College or high school level)
