About The Position
Belmont Charter Network is a family of 5 community schools centered on the central mission to promote the academic, social and emotional well-being of each child. Our schools are supported by a non-profit partner to provide holistic services to the school including out-of-school time, our social work project and Head start. We believe that schools and learning should be joyful! We believe that education is the single biggest way we can disrupt the systemic racism that impacts Philadelphia and by extension our country. The role of the Special Education Teacher is to plan, organize and implement an appropriate special education instructional program in an elementary or secondary learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential, in accordance with the mission and standards of Belmont Charter Network. Work is performed under the supervision of the Head of Special Education, and the Head of School.
