About The Position

The Assistant Coach for Softball is responsible for instructing athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for individual and team success. The coach must also demonstrate behaviors that promote socially acceptable character development, self-discipline, self-confidence, and pride of accomplishment in student athletes. Continuous professional development through coaching clinics, observations, and consultations is expected.

Requirements

• Experience in coaching or playing softball at a competitive level.
• Strong understanding of the game and ability to teach skills effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach and Athletic Director.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as an assistant coach in high school athletics.
• Certification in coaching or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Instruct athletes in fundamental skills and strategies of softball.
• Provide physical training necessary for individual and team success.
• Promote character development, self-discipline, and self-confidence in student athletes.
• Upgrade knowledge and skills through coaching clinics and observations.
