About The Position

The Assistant Coach for Men's Soccer at Stanford University will support the Head Coach in managing the Division I Men's Soccer program. This role involves responsibilities related to recruiting, training, practice organization, fundraising, budget management, and team travel. The position is fixed-term, concluding on December 31, 2025, and is based on the Stanford main campus.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and three years of coaching experience or a combination of education and experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with student-athletes, peers, and the general public.
• Computer literacy with common office applications such as Word and Excel.
• Ability to understand and comply with all rules and regulations of Stanford University, Pac-12 Conference, and NCAA.
• Ability to work compatibly and cooperatively with a variety of staff and personnel in the Department of Athletics, the University, and the community.
• Ability to monitor and adjust program budget.

Responsibilities

• Helping plan and organize team training and practice sessions.
• Assisting with recruiting student-athletes to compete at Stanford, following NCAA guidelines and University standards.
• Understanding and applying NCAA regulations to all aspects of the program, including passing an annual exam on NCAA regulations.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or designee.
