About The Position

Under the direction of the Associate Dean/Athletic Director - Kinesiology, the Assistant Coach for Men's Baseball will perform various duties related to the baseball program at Barstow College. This role involves assisting in the planning and execution of the baseball program, recruiting competitive players, and planning and directing conditioning, training, practice, and athletic performance of student/athlete team members. Additionally, the Assistant Coach will maintain team statistics and records, develop and maintain a close relationship with local high school baseball coaches, and ensure compliance with college rules and policies, the Commission on Athletics, and other applicable regulatory agencies. Other work-related duties may be assigned as necessary.

Requirements

• Must have either an Associate's Degree and six years coaching experience; OR Bachelor's degree and two years experience.
• Must demonstrate a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
• All course work and degrees must be from a regionally accredited college or university.
