The Assistant Coach will support the head coach in all aspects of the program. The Assistant Coach is expected to adhere to NAIA guidelines and regulations while demonstrating behavior that reflects a positive image of the athletic program and the university. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Candidates must demonstrate integrity and leadership, strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead and work both independently and collaboratively.
• Must maintain confidentiality, show initiative, manage multiple projects, and handle frequent interruptions while maintaining an organized workflow.
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse environment and mentor student-athletes is essential.

Nice To Haves

• USA Wrestling Bronze and Teal Certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• teaching and coaching student-athletes in the fundamentals and techniques of wrestling
• building and strengthening cross-campus relationships
• developing and implementing practice plans
• providing individual and team instruction
• conducting large group instruction
• meeting with individual student-athletes
• supporting the nutritional development of student-athletes
• performing video analysis
• recruiting and retaining academically and athletically qualified student-athletes
