Assistant Coach, Boys' Soccer
About The Position
Instruct and work with student-athletes under the guidance of the Head Coach to prepare for competition Report to the Head Coach and assist with all aspects of the program as assigned Demonstrate leadership through consistent implementation of program expectations and direction Assist in preparation of the team for practices and competitions Attend and actively participate in all scheduled practices and games Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment for practices and games Support supervision of student-athletes during team activities Lead practices or portions of practices in extenuating circumstances when the Head Coach is not present
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous coaching experience preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of soccer fundamentals, strategies, and rules
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of students, staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering a positive, structured, and inclusive team environment
- Completion of Concussion Training or willingness to obtain prior to season start
- Adherence to all Grand Peak Academy policies, including the Employee Handbook, Family Handbook, and all applicable school and board policies
- Mandatory Background check and fingerprinting
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to move throughout fields and athletic facilities, both indoors and outdoors
