The position is for a coaching role at Kentridge High School within the Kent School District. It is a seasonal stipend position, and placement is based on years of coaching experience. All coaching positions are open until filled, and applicants who apply within 5 days of the initial posting are guaranteed consideration as per the Coaches collective bargaining agreement. Applicants must meet district and WIAA requirements, including a valid background check. Head coaching applicants must be at least 21 years old, while assistant coaching applicants must be at least 19 years old. Additionally, they must possess a valid first aid and CPR card.

  • Complete the KSD online application process including professional reference forms.
  • Annually complete the WIAA general rules clinic and the WIAA-approved rule clinic for the sport being coached.
  • Complete KSD Vector Training requirements prior to the beginning of the sports season.
  • Successfully complete Concussion recognition and management training as required by Washington State Law.
  • Successfully complete Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness and Training as required by Washington State Law.
  • Complete school district-approved Coaching Principles training or equivalent before the beginning of the third year of coaching.
  • Read and sign the KSD Coaches Manual if hired.
  • Must meet district and WIAA requirements including a valid background check.

  • Must complete required training and clinics as specified.
