About The Position

The Assistant Coach for Baseball is responsible for instructing athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for individual and team success. The coach must also demonstrate behaviors that promote socially acceptable character development, self-discipline, self-confidence, and pride of accomplishment in student athletes. Continuous improvement of knowledge and skills through coaching clinics, observations, and consultations is expected.

Requirements

• Experience in coaching or playing baseball at a competitive level.
• Strong understanding of baseball fundamentals and strategies.
• Ability to communicate effectively with athletes and parents.
• Commitment to promoting good sportsmanship and mental health.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as an assistant coach or in a similar role.
• Certification in coaching or related fields.
• Knowledge of current trends in coaching and athlete development.

Responsibilities

• Instruct athletes in fundamental skills and strategies of baseball.
• Provide physical training necessary for individual and team success.
• Promote character development, self-discipline, and self-confidence in student athletes.
• Upgrade knowledge and skills through coaching clinics and observations.
• Support the Head Coach and Athletic Director in achieving overall objectives.
