Assistant Clinical Professor
About The Position
The Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy is looking for a Full-time non-tenure Clinical Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine at the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. The Internal Medicine Faculty member would work with the Englewood Medical Center clinical pharmacists and medical staff to optimize the care of Internal medicine patients. In addition to the PGY -1 pharmacy residency program, the hospital offers a vascular surgery fellowship, residency programs in dentistry, internal medicine, nursing, and podiatry, and training programs in radiography, emergency medical services, and other disciplines. The Internal Medicine faculty member will provide didactic and experiential teaching to pharmacy students and work closely with Internal Medicine physicians and medical residents to provide clinical pharmacy services to the medical teaching teams. The faculty will also serve as a preceptor and mentor for pharmacy residents and assist as a Residency Program Coordinator. The faculty will work with the Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator to provide education/development to pharmacy staff, develop policy and procedures, participate in multidisciplinary committees, serve as a resource for drug information and medication safety services.
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree
- Completed at least two years of residency training or equivalent experience
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of New Jersey
Responsibilities
- Provide didactic and experiential teaching to pharmacy students
