The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Wichita State University is seeking applicants for an Assistant Clinical Professor in Audiology. This is a 12-month, benefits-eligible clinical appointment for an audiologist with an AuD or PhD degree. Housed within the College of Health Professions, the Department offers the BA, MA, AuD, and PhD degrees. Our WSU Evelyn Hendren Cassat Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic provides both speech-language pathology and audiology skilled diagnostic and therapy services, supports the clinical and academic research of 15 full-time faculty, and serves as a hub for interprofessional community outreach for the city of Wichita and beyond. The Cassat Clinic has won multiple awards in the "Audiologist / Hearing Center" category in the Wichita Eagle's "Best of Wichita" award competition. We are excited to announce that in 2027, the Department of CSD and the Cassat Clinic will move to the Wichita Biomedical Campus, an approximately 471,000âsquareâfoot, $300 million health sciences facility located in the heart of downtown Wichita. The facility is a joint venture by Wichita State University, WSU Tech, and the University of Kansas. The new Cassat Clinic space will house six brand new state-of-the-art sound booths for both clinical and research activities. The city of Wichita is the largest metropolitan area in Kansas. Wichita has vibrant music, art, and theater offerings, as well as a wide range of sporting venues. The cost of living is affordable and commuting time within the city is reasonable.
