We are seeking Assistant Civil Engineers who will work with our Utility Engineering group on New York City infrastructure design and construction projects at our office in Lower Manhattan. NV5’s New York City Office operates on a four-day work week and we work on a wide variety of public and private infrastructure projects. Requirements
- A Baccalaureate degree in civil engineering from an accredited college.
- 0-3 years of experience
- Knowledge of CAD (AutoCAD especially)
- Detailed oriented, excellent writing skills
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of Civil3D
- Knowledge of Microstation
- EIT Preferred
Responsibilities
- The Assistant Civil Engineer will engage in research, investigation, and design tasks related to roadway, infrastructure design, and construction projects for our Private Utility Clients .
- Catch basin and watermain design and alignment.
- Record research and site investigation for utility clients and city agencies
- Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Construction Staging.
- Studies, development of technical drawings, preparation of estimates of quantities and writing specifications.
- Field work for data gathering, test pit inspection, surveys and construction observations
- Coordination with various City Agencies
