About The Position

The City of Inver Grove Heights seeks an experienced professional to be its next Assistant City Engineer. The Assistant City Engineer provides professional engineering and project management assistance, supervision, and oversight of various City engineering projects including the coordination, monitoring and assignment of responsibilities to Engineering Technicians. Duties include overseeing implementation of the City's pavement management initiative and assessment program; assisting the City's Planning Division by performing development reviews and negotiating on behalf of the City; and serves as a project manager on various assigned projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5 years of civil engineering experience.
• Current registration as a Professional Civil Engineer in the State of Minnesota.

Nice To Haves

• Project management experience in the field of public infrastructure, including directing staff and monitoring budgets.
• Experience with contract administration for design and construction contracts.
• Experience making presentations to the public and decision makers.
• Supervisory Experience.
