About The Position

The Assistant Chief Instructor Pilot will assist the Chief Flight Instructor in ensuring FAA compliance of flight training, record keeping, certifying records, and maintenance. The role involves teaching students in preparation for various pilot certifications, conducting stage checks, and promoting a just safety culture within the Flight Academy. The Assistant Chief Instructor will also perform interim Chief Instructor duties in the absence of the Chief Instructor and assist with the standardization of Flight Instructors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation.
• 2 years of experience in Aviation.
• Valid driver's license.
• Current, unrestricted US Passport.
• Valid Commercial Pilot Certificate.
• Current FAA Third Class Medical Certificate.
• CFII and MEI certificates with 1000 hours of total time and 125 hours of instrument dual given.

Nice To Haves

• Prior Flight Instruction experience.
• Prior experience as a stage check instructor.

Responsibilities

• Provide flight and ground instruction for Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilots, Multi Engine Ratings and Flight Instructor Certificate.
• Conduct 14 CFR 141 stage checks as a check instructor on the air agency's certificate.
• Assist the Chief Instructor with line instructor recurrent training, standardization, quality of training, and FAA Compliance.
• Promote a just safety culture by reviewing safety reports and developing corrective actions to mitigate risk in Flight Academy operations.
• Perform interim Chief Instructor duties in the absence of the Chief Instructor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
