Assistant Chief Financial Officer (Assistant CFO) – Healthcare Location: Greenville, SC Organization: Carolina Nephrology, PA Schedule: Full-Time Salary Range: $90,000 – $110,000 Join a Growing Healthcare Leader as an Assistant CFO Carolina Nephrology, PA is seeking an experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our leadership team as an Assistant Chief Financial Officer (Assistant CFO) in Greenville, South Carolina. This Assistant CFO role will oversee finances related to the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) / Office-Based Labs (OBL) programs. Requirements

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
  • Minimum 7 years of accounting/finance experience in a healthcare environment
  • Experience in medical practice finance strongly preferred. Experience with an ASC/OBL highly desired.
  • Demonstrated financial leadership and strong analytical capabilities
  • High integrity and professional judgment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of healthcare financial operations and medical terminology
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and financial modeling
  • Ability to proactively identify operational and financial improvement opportunities

Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial management functions including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
  • Support executive leadership with financial analysis and strategic planning
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for financial optimization and operational improvements
  • Manage tax reporting, payroll oversight, and financial compliance
  • Oversee joint venture accounting activities and reporting
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare financial regulations and HIPAA requirements
  • Manage the organization's 401(k) retirement plan administration
  • Support technology management related to financial systems
  • Train to serve as operational backup to the CFO
