Scope of Work This role provides advanced technical leadership for networked lighting control systems across a large commercial real estate portfolio. The ACE is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing both legacy lighting control platforms and modern networked systems, ensuring reliable operation, code compliance, and smooth transitions during building openings, closures, and system upgrades. The position requires deep expertise in Enlighted lighting controls, including support for aging and end‑of‑life hardware, as well as strong proficiency with Wattstopper, nLight, and other industry‑standard lighting control technologies. The ACE will support day‑to‑day operations, lead commissioning activities, produce turnover documentation, and contribute to the development of future lighting control standards.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of Enlighted system architecture, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Wattstopper, nLight, Lutron, and other networked lighting control systems.
  • Ability to interpret and modify lighting control sequences, profiles, and zoning logic.
  • Strong understanding of low‑voltage circuits, relay logic, 0–10V dimming, DALI, and sensor networks.
  • Ability to diagnose electrical faults, communication failures, and device‑level issues.
  • Familiarity with NEC, Title 24, and energy‑code lighting requirements.
  • Understanding of how lighting controls interface with building management systems (BMS).
  • Familiarity with BACnet/IP and cloud-based control platforms.
  • Skilled in commissioning new systems and validating functionality.
  • Ability to produce high‑quality turnover documentation, as‑builts, and SOPs.
  • Ability to guide field teams and serve as the lighting controls authority.
  • Strong communication skills for working with leadership, landlords, and cross‑functional partners.
  • Capable of managing competing priorities across a large, complex portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and stabilize legacy lighting control platforms, including Enlighted.
  • Reprogram, reset, and reconfigure zones, profiles, and control logic to maintain system performance.
  • Support aging hardware and software through their lifecycle sunset.
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for complex lighting control issues across multiple buildings.
  • Support Wattstopper, nLight, and other networked lighting control systems.
  • Troubleshoot low‑voltage circuits, 0–10V dimming, DALI, relay panels, occupancy sensors, and daylight harvesting systems.
  • Validate system performance and ensure alignment with design intent and energy code requirements.
  • Lead commissioning activities for new building openings, renovations, and reactivations.
  • Verify programming, zoning, sensor calibration, schedules, and system integration.
  • Ensure all lighting systems meet operational and code requirements prior to occupancy.
  • Develop complete lighting control turnover packages for landlords or receiving parties.
  • Restore systems to base‑building conditions and verify full functionality.
  • Produce clear, auditable documentation for handoff.
  • Provide technical input during evaluation of new lighting control technologies.
  • Assist with pilot installations, testing, and standardization of next‑generation systems.
  • Develop SOPs, training materials, and documentation to support long‑term portfolio needs.
  • Partner with electrical teams, construction teams, and facilities leadership to ensure consistent lighting control performance.
  • Maintain accurate as‑builts, device maps, system inventories, and technical documentation.
  • Support energy compliance, sustainability initiatives, and demand‑response strategies.
