About The Position
Summary of Job: The Assistant Chief will work in conjunction with the Chief CRNA and Medical Director of Anesthesia, anesthesiologists, CRNA staff, and all healthcare providers involved in the care of patients requiring analgesia/anesthesia services. A qualified Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist involved in the administration of anesthesia related services as delineated by the Department of Anesthesia. Actively assists in managing and maintaining the daily services provided at the facility by the Chief CRNA to include culture, manpower, budget and all aspects related to the practice and performance of anesthesia and analgesia. Cases include: Cases: General Ortho, Endo, Neuro, + the option to do blocks No OB, No hearts! Facility Description: Facility Description: Located about 15 minutes from downtwon Louisville, Norton Brownsboro Hospital is a full-service, 127-bed community hospital located in Louisville, Kentucky, serving patients in northeastern Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby, Carroll, Henry, Spencer, Trimble and surrounding counties. Norton Brownsboro offers a wide range of inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurological and neurosurgical, cancer care and intensive care services. The hospital’s 24/7 emergency department has 22 private treatment rooms, a heliport for critical care transport and is a regional referral center for advanced neurosurgical conditions, specifically stroke care.
