About The Position

As the Assistant Category Manager you will oversee the product lifecycle for the Piping Rock assortment of 5000 unique products for our rapidly expanding direct to consumer division. You will manage products across our ecommerce and retail segments with direct influence on, product development, pricing, categorization, promotions, vendors and supply chain. Our Assistant Category Manager will have the agility to work independently and cross functionally with sales, marketing, broker partners, data providers, retail partners and senior executives. Responsibilities

Additional duties as assigned.
Provide additional support to both the Sales and Category Management teams through data capture and data analysis
Be able to function autonomously and make decisions independently working with business unit leaders and core customers
Leverage critical thinking and problem-solving skills to recognize and anticipate issues and opportunities by elevating analyses beyond reporting and translate insight into retail action
Assist in the development of analytical reporting tools and resources to measure and track category performance across all formats
Analyze customer information (external data, internal research, site behaviors, post-transaction data) to identify the most significant opportunities to improve the customer experience and increase sales
Perform ad hoc reporting based on the business needs and extract the proper data from relevant systems
Understand the assortment and the performance of each category
Ability to navigate multiple platforms and multitask
