About The Position

The successful candidate will be an instructional leader for full-time, part-time, and Workforce and Economic Development (WED) programs; and, will be an ardent advocate for CareerTech, have excellent verbal/written skills and have experience motivating others to implement school improvement strategies. The Assistant Director will assist the Director with all operations of the campus, including supervision of staff and faculty, developing strategies to improve services to students, clients, businesses and industries, recruitment, marketing, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Masters degree or higher.
  • Secondary Principal Certificate.
  • Qualification for a Technology Center Administrator's Credential.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of successful experience in teaching or as a Tech Center Director/Assistant Director or Secondary School Principal/Assistant Principal.
  • Experience in supervision of ODCTE approved programs.
  • Willingness to travel and work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an instructional leader for various programs.
  • Advocate for CareerTech initiatives.
  • Motivate others to implement school improvement strategies.
  • Assist the Director with campus operations.
  • Supervise staff and faculty.
  • Develop strategies to improve services to students and clients.
  • Engage in recruitment and marketing efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
