About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Camp Director to support the Camp Director in overseeing daily camp operations and ensuring a safe, engaging, and high-quality experience for campers, staff, and families. This role is ideal for a candidate who is at least 21 years of age, possesses strong leadership skills, and enjoys hands-on involvement, staff support, and program coordination.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in a camp, school, or youth program setting
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Nice To Haves

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Aid with coordination, organization, and supervision of daily camp operations
• Assist with creation and management for entire summer camp, ranging from general management to specialized activities
• Assist Camp Director with hiring and management among the Youth Center and Summer Camp staff
• Help with the creation and development of the day-to-day curriculum for the summer camp
• Serve as acting Camp Director when the Camp Director is unavailable
• Assist with enrollment support, attendance tracking, and camp software systems
• Facilitate communication among all staff and parents
• Ensure camper safety, behavior management, and proper supervision at all times
