About The Position

Assistant Cage Supervisor is a liaison between Cage Management and Cage Tellers. This position is responsible for the operational oversight of the Tellers during the assigned shift. Commerce Casino is the world’s largest card casino offering more than 200 tables. Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a casino cage environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of work experience and education.
  • A casino work permit from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
  • The Assistant Cage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Cage department processes. Regarding the supervision of employees, however, this position is limited to making suggestions or recommendations regarding the staff to the Chief Financial Officer, who holds a Key Employee or Officer License. The Chief Financial Officer is the position that makes managerial decisions on behalf of the Cage department. The Assistant Cage Supervisor understands and acknowledges he/she cannot take any action that would require a Key Employee license.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Teller performance, including coaching and disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Adjust Teller schedules based on business demands.
  • Assist in the implementation and enforcement of company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of departmental computer systems.
  • Ensure all cage equipment is maintained and in working order.
  • Generate and submit daily reports on cage activities as required.
  • Perform basic accounting functions, clerical duties, filing, and proficient use of a 10-key calculator.
  • Resolve any operational issues that may arise during the shift.
  • Maintain open communication with other Cage Supervisors to ensure departmental efficiency and consistency.
