As an Assistant Buyer at Fanatics Inc., you will play a crucial role in monitoring the sports world on a daily basis, which directly influences merchandise buying decisions. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the creation of industry-leading product assortments across all leagues and categories. You will work closely with the management team to interpret various data sets that will aid in making key business decisions. Building and maintaining strong vendor relationships will be essential, as you will also be responsible for researching and resolving any vendor-related issues that may arise. Collaboration is key in this role; you will work alongside other buying and planning teams to address hot market trends and major sporting events. Additionally, you will partner with the advertising staff and allocation team to ensure that all advertising orders are properly allocated. Your organizational skills will be put to the test as you prepare, organize, and run the creation of new products. You may also be assigned special projects by the Buyer or Merchandise Manager, which will require you to be adaptable and proactive in your approach. This position is ideal for someone who is proactive, energetic, and results-oriented. You will need to be a team player who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating solid negotiation skills and highly developed problem-solving abilities. Comfort in working with all employee levels, from executives to warehouse associates, is essential, as is a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel products.
