About The Position

FabFitFun is looking for an Assistant Buyer to join our Merchandising Department! This Assistant Buyer will help support Home & Fashion as they build and maintain brand partnerships to drive growth across our seasonal subscription box and corresponding e-Commerce flash sales. The ideal candidate will be confident multi-tasking priorities such as vendor communication, sample management, and data input. This role will appeal to someone with an interest in looking to jump-start a career within buying and gain exposure from a dynamic Merchandising Department. Location: This role is based out of our HQ in Beverly Hills, CA and is not eligible for remote. We are presently operating from a hybrid schedule of 4 days a week in-office (Monday-Thursday).

Requirements

  • 1-2+ years experience in a fast-paced product focused company, preferably with exposure to Merchandising/Buying
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Communications, Merchandising, Marketing, Business)
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills
  • Ability to operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams
  • Planning & Priority Setting: Demonstrate an ability to set objectives and goals and organize work appropriately to meet and exceed goals
  • Can identify and clearly articulate the processes necessary to get things down efficiently and align resources effectively complete activities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, Salesforce, and have aptitude to learn technical applications quickly
  • Demonstrated familiarity and working fluency with modern AI tools such as Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, and similar platforms
  • Ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate market research, assortment analysis, vendor communication drafting, and business insights
  • Experience using AI to synthesize data, generate summaries, and streamline workflow execution
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priority in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative and operational functions supporting the Buying team, including but not limited to purchase order management, sale set up, lineplan creation while building foundational merchant skills
  • Assist with Buyers, Planners, Accounting, Logistics, Quality control, Receiving departments, and Vendors to ensure production requirements are followed
  • Help schedule and attend pitch calls and send recaps to brands as needed
  • Ensure timely delivery of merchandise through communication with Buyer, merchant teams, and external vendors
  • Support vendor communications, ensuring proper receipt flow, tracking deliveries, etc.
  • Organize and archive all samples for subscription box and e-commerce sales
  • Enter, update, and maintain data in SalesForce and internal team documents
  • Perform additional administrative tasks, as needed across the Merchandising Team
