Summary The ideal candidate will be passionate about flawlessly executing product assortments to our locations. Supports the Buyer in the execution of the product vision, assortment planning, and allocation of inventory by store / department to maximize sales, per cap, gross margin and inventory health. They will provide actionable recommendations to Buyer and Senior Merchant to drive the business.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years experience In retail merchandising
  • Passion for product and understanding guest demographics
  • Strong organizational skills, resourceful, proactive and a fast learner
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook
  • Reliable and meets deadlines
  • Produces work efficiently and accurately
  • Team player with strong communication, relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and adaptable In fluid environment
  • High attention to detail, organized and can effectively prioritize

Responsibilities

  • Support the Buyer with execution and vendor communication to achieve sales, per cap, Inventory goals, SKU goals and COGS goals.
  • Work closely with Senior Merchant, Purchasing Directors, Product Development team, Planning and Purchasing Operations to ensure alignment on assortment plans and execution of product on time in stores
  • Support the business with regular business analysis and providing actionable recommendations to drive the business
  • Assortment planning, buying and financial KPI responsibility for a small category
  • Meet or exceed revenue, SKU count, Inventory and margin goals
  • Regularly analyze your business, Identifying wins to maximize and opportunities to action on
  • Foster strong relationships with Internal team members and vendors to effectively deliver assortment needs
  • Support assortment execution as needed, including order placement, vendor follow-ups, etc
  • Work closely with Merchandise Coordinator, providing any needed direction to resolve any Item, PO or Invoicing challenges
