As an Assistant Buyer – Purchaser, you will spend your day assisting in buying and maintaining inventory to meet department and company goals. You will monitor daily purchasing reports, including Daily Fill Rate, Open Backorders, Stock Inventory On-Hand, and other key metrics, and you will compile monthly reporting for Buyers and Senior Buyers. You will proactively follow up with internal and external teams to resolve issues such as delinquent orders or backorders. You will place purchase orders while reviewing sales cost accuracy, freight, and other charges, and you will review strategic substitutions to ensure accuracy and compliance. You will communicate and work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and manage multiple vendor lines while supporting other duties as assigned. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Bachelor's degree Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Strong business math, communication, and analytical skills as well as Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects to timely, accurate completion in a fast-paced environment Ability to build and maintain productive cross-functional relationships Physical ability to stand, walk, speak, hear, sit, use hands or fingers for data entry, and lift up to 25 pounds Experience in retail, warehouse, or logistics is a plus. Associate to Specialist level employees with one or more years of industry experience are preferred. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX, Power BI, or Dynamics 365 is also a plus. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in retail, warehouse, or logistics is a plus.
  • Associate to Specialist level employees with one or more years of industry experience are preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX, Power BI, or Dynamics 365 is also a plus.
