The position involves receiving and following schedules and instructions from supervisors as outlined in established policies and procedures. The role includes assisting in organizing, planning, and directing administrative activities, maintaining minutes of meetings, and filing as necessary. The individual will serve as a key representative of the community, contributing to community relations and public awareness. The position supports the Administrator, Director of Nursing (DON), and Business Office Manager in administrative tasks, performs clerical and accounting functions, and may assist with HR and payroll duties. The role requires developing a good working rapport with inter-department personnel and assisting in recording incidents and accidents. The individual will ensure compliance with ergonomics policies and maintain adequate office supplies. Confidentiality of resident health information is paramount, and any violations must be reported. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

  • Receive and follow schedule/instructions from supervisor.
  • Assist in organizing, planning, and directing administrative activities.

  • Perform clerical and accounting functions such as cash receipts.
  • Assist with HR and payroll duties.
  • Develop and maintain good working rapport with inter-department personnel.
  • Assist in recording all incidents/accidents.
  • Ensure compliance with established ergonomics policies and procedures.
  • Maintain an adequate supply of office supplies and equipment.
  • Agree not to disclose resident’s protected health information.
  • Report known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
  • Knowledge in clerical functions and computer literacy.
  • Proficiency in Excel is preferred.
  • Must be able to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
  • Knowledge of office machines and equipment.
