About The Position

The Assistant Broker supports brokers in servicing clients, preparing insurance submissions, managing policy documentation, and coordinating with insurers. This role is detail-oriented and client-focused, ensuring policies are accurately placed, renewed, and maintained while delivering excellent customer service. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education in business or insurance preferred)
  • 1–3 years of experience in insurance, financial services, or an administrative support role
  • Basic understanding of insurance products and terminology (personal or commercial lines)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with broker management systems a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Insurance license or willingness to obtain one
  • Experience working in an insurance brokerage environment
  • Familiarity with underwriting processes and policy servicing

Responsibilities

  • Support brokers with day-to-day account management for new and existing clients
  • Prepare insurance submissions, quotations, endorsements, renewals, and policy documents
  • Liaise with insurance carriers, underwriters, and clients to obtain information and resolve issues
  • Review policies and endorsements for accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain client files and update broker management systems and CRM records
  • Assist with invoicing, premium tracking, and documentation follow-ups
  • Respond to client inquiries and route complex issues to the broker as needed
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and internal procedures
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the brokerage team
