The position assists the Branch Retail Manager with outside sales initiatives aimed at acquiring, expanding, and retaining customer relationships. The role involves developing new deposit business and acting as a primary liaison for handling branch operational issues while also serving as a financial liaison to customers. Team members are expected to ensure confidentiality of customer information and comply with bank regulations.

  • Assists Branch Retail Manager in acquiring, expanding and retaining customer relationships by partaking in business calls.
  • Takes ownership of the customer experience, including opening accounts and resolving service issues.
  • Develops new customer relationships and retains existing ones by identifying customer opportunities and utilizing cross-selling techniques.
  • Educates customers on available access channels.
  • Supports and delivers sales efforts to enhance and retain the retail customer base.
  • Participates in business development opportunities to establish visibility in the community.
  • Resolves difficult customer situations effectively while ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Prepares and compiles complex new customer data to open new accounts.
  • Maintains proficiency in bank products and services.
  • Maintains knowledge of bank regulatory requirements.
  • Assists, trains, and mentors branch retail staff.
  • Supervises and observes employees, providing coaching on sales practices and customer service.
  • Acts in the capacity of the Branch Retail Manager in their absence.
  • Looks for opportunities to improve branch profitability and deposit growth.
  • Assists with branch security oversight and training.
  • Maintains knowledge of procedures for ATM/ITM settlement and cash handling.
  • Maintains reliable attendance and may work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Associates degree or High School diploma and 3+ years of bank/finance sales and customer service experience.
  • Excellent understanding of the Bank's products and services.
  • Proficient in business products such as Cash Management and Remote Deposit Capture.
  • Demonstrated positive and helpful attitude toward customers.
