The Assistant Branch Manager at Jetro/Restaurant Depot is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the branch, focusing on customer satisfaction and profitability. This role involves managing personnel, maintaining company standards, and developing strong business relationships with customers. The Assistant Branch Manager will oversee various operational aspects, including compliance with safety regulations, financial reporting, and inventory management, while also providing leadership and training to staff.

  • Ensure efficient operation of the Branch to meet customer satisfaction and profit goals.
  • Manage personnel issues and supervision, maintaining a positive company image.
  • Develop strong business relationships with customers through effective communication and problem resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
  • Review financial and operational reports and take necessary actions based on results.
  • Direct subordinates to manage warehouse operations, including safety, sanitation, inventory, and customer service.
  • Define and communicate service standards and operational mission to employees.
  • Maximize sales opportunities by ensuring high levels of customer service and proper workforce scheduling.
  • Manage selection, performance appraisals, and professional development of management personnel.
  • Supervise and coach department managers on employee relations and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain communication with Corporate Offices to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Regularly review inventory to ensure accuracy and availability of products.
  • Complete and process necessary reports and paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required).
  • Minimum 4 years management experience in food service or grocery distribution.
  • Background in P&L, inventory control, merchandising, hiring/training staff, cash control, and loss prevention.
  • Strong leadership skills for managing a high-volume warehouse operation.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and people management skills.
