The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for assisting with the management of one or more branches and/or satellite offices. Requirements

  • Current Assistant Branch Rental Manager or qualified Management Assistant in 41EE
  • Have proven success with ESQI/customer service, fleet growth, employee development/retention and profit, must be in top half of the the Matrix 3 out of the last 6 months and own a 3,6,or 12 month SQI score at or above corporate average
  • Must meet driving record criteria and not be on driving probation
  • Must have achieved a minimum of meets requirements on most recent performance review

Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing, maintaining and implementing Branch operational plans
  • Assist with creating schedules for branch employees
  • Ensure that all preventative maintenance and manufacturer’s recalls are completed in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all employee access codes are secured and used according to policy (gas cards/codes, alarms codes)
  • Ensure Service Excellence plan is executed daily
  • Actively participate in training and shaping the customer service performance of Branch employees
  • Take action to ensure customer service issues are corrected immediately
  • Proactively seek process improvement to ensure high quality customer service
  • Assist with managing, mentoring, training, coaching, evaluating and developing staff
  • Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, recommending, and hiring of Branch employees
  • Develop skills in conducting effective performance management (positive/constructive feedback, reviews, discipline, promotions, etc.)
  • Notify appropriate personnel of employee issues/complaints
  • Help ensure adherence to company procedures and applicable employment laws
  • Motivate employees to achieve Branch and individual goals
  • Take proactive steps to prepare for the next position by developing personal leadership skills; i.e. mentors, internal and external resources, etc.
  • Effectively and successfully use the internal sales training materials to promote and sell protection products
  • Assist with training, motivating and coaching employees to promote and sell optional protection products, vehicle features and benefits, fuel options and additional equipment
  • Conduct sales calls with existing and potential customers to increase business
  • Assist with the oversight of uninsured losses and the exercise of reasonable cost control
  • Analyze statements and other reports; suggest changes to improve performance
  • Assist with monitoring and teaching proper underwriting practices, including auditing of tickets
  • Comply with all applicable policies, procedures, rules, regulations and best practices
  • Ensure that all policies are followed and all assets are maintained and secured
  • Assist with the management of Branch receivables
  • Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training and goal setting
  • Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
