About The Position

Assist the Branch Manager in the daily operation of staff Prepare work schedule, assist with the bank balancing, staff meeting, customer care and concerns Assist in the delivery of quality customer service through personal contact with customers and prospects, and adherence to approved quality standards Evaluate new and existing customer relationships and recommend bank products and services to support their financial success Accountable for the achievement of monthly new account production as assigned by upper management Work closely with the Branch Manager to motivate staff in achieving retail and new account production Participate in an active sales environment that may require in-store aisle prospecting Attend business development calls, or other sales opportunities, with a member of management Manage branch operations and staff, in the absence of a manager Conduct training for new hires Provide bank services to a diverse customer base, including a large Spanish speaking population Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality Complete other tasks as assigned by manager as needed to include, but not limited to, opening/closing branch

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • Minimum of one year management/supervisory experience
  • Strong sales skills with the ability to effectively develop business opportunities
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain sound relationships with existing and potential customers
  • Excellent communication skills, leadership and organizational skills
  • Extensive cash handling experience
  • Experience working in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must successfully pass background investigation according to company policy
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work effectively in a team environment
  • Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
  • Required to stand or walk for extended periods of time dependent upon branch location
  • Operate a computer and other office machinery
  • Schedules are prepared based on business need and subject to change at any time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in business/management or related degree preferred
  • Banking experience preferred
  • Familiarity with banking laws and regulations preferred
