Position Summary: The Assistant Branch Manager position at a HUB is classified as Exempt, as this type of location serves as a central distribution point supporting other branches in the region. A HUB functions as the company’s main distribution center, handling both inside and outside sales, supplying multiple locations, and serving walk-in customers.

Requirements

  • Must be over the age of 21 to apply
  • Solid computer skills including use of MS Office with a willingness to learn new software programs
  • Experience with industrial distribution preferred
  • Familiarity with industrial and hydraulic hose and fittings, especially Parker Hannifin a plus

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 a plus
  • Familiarity with industrial and hydraulic hose and fittings, especially Parker Hannifin a plus

Responsibilities

  • Hire and manage, coach, mentor, train, and support all direct reports
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely manner with good communication skills
  • Generate and maintain accurate required documentation
  • Manage inventory control and cycle counting while ensuring quality control
  • Communicate in a positive manner with internal and external personnel
  • Collaborate with all appropriate departments and personnel to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Promote employee teamwork to achieve the highest level of customer service and ethical business practices
  • Encourage positive thinking approaches to problem solving and motivation through employee recognition
  • Provide superior customer service and support company goals
  • Address and resolve personnel issues
