About The Position

Responsible for assisting the branch manager with the operation of the branch office with respect to teller and loan functions as well as providing quality service to members. Assists with coaching and development of branch staff. Essential Functions & Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assists the branch manager to ensure all branch activities are completed in a timely manner and are in compliance with established credit union policies and procedures. Determines when appropriate exceptions can be made. Assists the branch manager to ensure active and on-going coaching and development to assigned branch staff. Writes and conducts performance appraisals and identifies training needs. Performs cash audits as assigned. Assists with member inquiries, complaints and issues that cannot be resolved by branch personnel. Serves as a loan officer for consumer loans up to the amount assigned in credit union policy. Assists with processing employee loan requests. Reviews and approves time off requests. Serves as a back-up for all branch roles/positions. Serve as back-up branch manager for other branches when needed. Other duties as assigned. Requirements

  • Minimum three years of financial institution experience.
  • A high school education or GED required.
  • Ability to analyze data for equitable resolutions.
  • Ability to manage projects through to completion.
  • Proficient with problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work regular full time hours.
  • Ability to work on-site at designated location.
  • Ability to communicate with courtesy, tact, and diplomacy and model exemplary member service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Must be bondable
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time (6 to 7 hours per day).
  • Must be able to view a computer screen, use a keyboard to enter information, and manipulate a mouse.
  • Job includes some repetitive hand/wrist motions.
  • Ability to operate office machinery.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Two year degree preferred.
