Requirements

  • Generally has 5+ years of experience.
  • Operation of a company vehicle, or a personal vehicle and such operation is done consistently more than 20% of the average work week.
  • An acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Experience with sales order computer software, preferably Oracle.
  • Knowledge of construction and industrial products.
  • Spanish language proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Support the talent acquisition, development, and retention of branch sales and operations associates.
  • Manage the branch in the Branch Manager’s absence.
  • Assist the manager in developing strategies to drive branch sales and profitability.
  • Assist with the coordination of procurement, inventory control, shipping and receiving, warehousing, and sales in accordance with the policies, principles, and procedures established by the organization.
  • Solve problems at the branch level.
  • Investigate customer complaints involving matters such as damaged items, overcharges, and shipment/delivery delays.
  • Make necessary resource adjustments.
  • Manage operational branch level problems, investigate inventory discrepancies, and make adjustments as required.
  • Serve customers and support the counter and inside sales functions as necessary.
  • Ensure all sales orders are billed correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Schedule staff and analyze budgets and variances.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
